One of my favorite cities in the world never fails when it comes for me to do some street photography. Budapest, is my Mecca for street shots.
This Autumn I have Photography workshop planned and it will take place in Budapest, so I went back again to do some scouting, to find some new cool spots and streets worth shooting.
Of course, I did lots of street photography…
On my YouTube channel you will find two vlogs of my street photography. They are POV videos made with GoPro attached on my chest.
These are the shots I took…
Budapest become even more interesting for Street Photography in the last 10 years, when the tourism skyrocketed. The city started attracting more diverse crowd, which makes the shooting much more interesting and everyday can be different and unique.
“I fell in love with the process of taking pictures, with wandering around finding things. To me it feels like a kind of performance. The picture is a document of that performance.” — Alec Soth
“The photograph should be more interesting or more beautiful than what was photographed.” — Garry Winogrand
“No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.” — Oscar Wilde
“Anyone can shoot chaos. But the most perceptive photographers can make compelling pictures out of uninteresting moments.” — Alex Tehrani
I love photographing couples because they are always looking similar. Their style, their movements, their looks its always almost identical.
The reason why I shoot mostly tourists is that they are always in their best edition. They are wearing their best clothes, the hair is nicely done, make up is on, they are all set for the picture to be taken.
“Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world.” — Bruno Barbey
